Chuck Humphrey

I am available to research and advise on gambling law questions and structuring gaming and gambling transactions and businesses.

Please make requests to me by e-mail, giving me:

  • Your name and the state or states involved in your question
  • Your question and why you are asking it,
  • The nature of your pastime or business.
  • Please do not call me before you have sent an e-mail identifying yourself and stating your question with appropriate details, including the state or states involved.

I check my e-mail every few hours during the day, and respond to most requests within 24 hours. I do not respond to anonymous requests for help.

I will usually ask you to compensate me.  My fees are based on an hourly billing rate of $200. I may agree to assist for a fixed fee.   All fees that we may agree on are to be paid into my PayPal account in advance.

Chuck Humphrey exclusively practiced law for twenty years from 1968 to 1988, most recently as a partner in the national law firm of Kirkland & Ellis. He is admitted to the practice law in Colorado, Michigan and Texas, currently being active in Colorado, where he lives.  He holds BBA, MBA and J.D. (cum laude) degrees, all fro the University of Michigan.

He was a staff attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. early in his legal career.

Chuck has now resumed his law practice, which principally focuses on gambling law, and business matters, including structuring transactions.
